Here's my setup:
- KO 2.1.4 build 2026
- 1 Cisco SPA303 (FW 7-5-5)
- 1 Cisco 7940 (FW 8-12-00)
- 1 Grandstream 702 with 2 dect sets connected
- several smartphones using KO softphone or 3CX softphone

All works great except fo one strange behaviour from the Cisco 7940.

Whenever i call an outside number from the Cisco 7940 the connection is great, but when i call one of the inside extensions the call drops within 2-4 seconds.
On the other hand when i call the Cisco 7940 from outside numbers or inside extensions the connection is flawless as well.

Any ideas on this problem?

Hi,

I can take a look at the SIP communication. Please do the following:
1. Enable debug logs: asterisk, asterisk(detailed).
2. Start the packet sniffer.
3. Make the failing call.
4. Generate a support info file (link at the bottom of the System Health screen)

Then email the debug log, packet dump and support info file to <fjenicek<_at_>kerio.com>.

Hi,

it appears that the Cisco 7940 phone can't handle a sip UPDATE command and replies with an error "400 Bad Request". The UPDATE command is used to update the caller identification on the phone's display. Because the phone already runs the latest firmware, there is not much we could do but to disable the callerid update feature.

I will provide you with a hook file to fix it via email.
