This is a minor annoyance that happens as a side-effect from provisioning LDAP access to personal address books.

Basically, what I'd like to do is have Operator recognize the company phone prefix (including area code if and when supplied) and then rewrite it by discarding all but the last x number of digits so that the calls route internally. In other words, if the user dials 123-456-7890 or 456-7890, then it gets rewritten so that it's as if they actually dialed 7890. (But only if the number starts with 123-456 or 456.)

Maybe this isn't even possible, but the rewriting rules in the call routing section seems to suggest that it might be.

I am sorry, this is not possible with the current call routing. The rewriting rules you mention are applied after an outbound interface has been chosen.
