I'm staging a remote office setup using vlans on gigabit switches with a Kerio VPN tunnel between kerio control appiances, and I'm seeing odd speed differences. Using iperf -r between linux computers, one on each side of the VPN, I get these speeds

------------------------------------------------------------
Server listening on TCP port 5001
TCP window size: 85.3 KByte (default)
------------------------------------------------------------
[ 5] local 10.212.1.3 port 5001 connected with 10.213.0.50 port 52028
[ 5] 0.0-10.0 sec 112 MBytes 93.7 Mbits/sec
------------------------------------------------------------
Client connecting to 10.213.0.50, TCP port 5001
TCP window size: 99.0 KByte (default)
------------------------------------------------------------
[ 5] local 10.212.1.3 port 48409 connected with 10.213.0.50 port 5001
[ 5] 0.0-10.2 sec 11.8 MBytes 9.63 Mbits/sec

I'm not surprized that it's far less than gigE, but that it's different in one direction than another, and that one direction is basically throttled at 10Mbit and the other 100Mbit, which makes me think it's something articial. I have nothing on the QoS section on either kerio appiance.

what can i try? I'm not yet sure what my bandwidth at the remote location will be, but >10Mbit is very likely so i'd like to see better performance on this with gigE before shipping it.
