Hi All,

I need to delete a whole bunch of mailboxes off our Kerio (reached our limit), though I need to be able to copy them to a backup drive in case they ever need to be restored / some emails to retrieve.

All the mailboxes have the no entry icon on the folder so I'm unable to do a direct copy to and external hard-drive.

So my question is 'How do I backup mailboxes to an external drive in order to delete the originals'?

Kind regards

Hello and welcome to the Kerio forums!

I would recommend that you take a full backup to your external drive. Simply change the target backup directory through the Webadmin interface->Configuration->Archiving & Backup->Backup. Then click the "Start Now" button under "Current Status".

That will enable you to recover user's folders in the correct manner using KMS Recover if needed in the future.

Then you will be able to delete the users in the normal way, and select the option to "delete the user's message folder".

Don't forget to switch the backup path back when you've finished.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Neil.
