Is there any control inside KERIO 8 to schedule the compression of archive email folders - basically we do only want to have a specific period of archived email available inside the archive folders. Seems like a simple thing to include, by being able to schedule the compression interval by days or months...?

Hi Mac,

Yes you can schedule this. We are currently running Kerio Connect 8.2 and there is an option to choose when the compression will happen in the Configuration->Archiving and Backup->Archiving. See screenshot for the setting.

I hope this helps,
Vicky

thanks for getting back so quickly - however this unfortunately does not do what we want, as the highest increment is 'month'... unless we are missing something, we would prefer to also be able to set this to run every X months - basically this would then automatically compress anything older than X, and keep everything newer than X available in the Archive Folder.

Hi Mac,

Ah I see, sorry I misunderstood what you were asking for. At the moment you can only do a month as the highest value (like you pointed out).

You can list this as a feature request via the 'Suggest Idea' button in the dashboard/WebAdmin of Kerio Connect. This way the developers can see what you would like and other Connect users/resellers can vote for your idea.

Wish I could have been more help. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Vicky
