Hi All,

I have a client who is using mailchimp to send out campaigns, before they send they like to send one to another person in their organisation to see how it looks. Up until the update to 8.2.2 this was fine but now the message never arrives, it does when sending to something like a gmail account though.

They get the message below in the debug log but it says missing authentication to send as local sender. Any idea why it would say this, the sender is not showing as a member of mydomain.com so I don't understand it.

I guess anti-spoofing protection is enabled:
in WebAdmin go to "Security" -> tab "Sender Policy"

I only have "User must be authenticated in order to send messages from a local domain" ticked. The rest is unticked.

The way I read it, why would this block the messages above. We're not sending from the local domain.

Thanks

Graham

If "mydomain.com" is your local domain, then you are sending from the local domain. As per your logs:

Authentication required for local domain sender <bob.smith<_at_>mydomain.com>

OK, I take your point although surely this is the FROM: address

That's not mydomain.com

I recently ran into this issue and had to add the Mail Chip address found here- http://mailchimp.com/about/ips/?_ga=1.8280308.799661082.1397 492810

to the security sender policy setting for "never reject messages from this IP address group.
