We have contacts in a public folder which are synchronized to iPhones using ActiveSync, but that doesn't seem to work on Windows Phone 8.

Is that correct?

Hi Lunddal,

What version of Kerio Connect are you running? Also which phone are you trying to get this to work with? The problem could something as simple as an old version of Kerio Connect. One thing that might help you find the problem is to enable 'Active Synchronization' in the debug log (WebAdmin->Logs->Debug->Right click in right hand window->Messages). If you enable the logging it might help point out where the issue is.

All the best,
Vicky

I'm running Connect 8.2.3 and I'm trying on a Nokia Lumia 520.

The personal contacts are fine, but the shared contacts enabled in "Folders to sync" under ActiveSync doesn't appear.

There are no errors in the log.

Hmm, it seems that it's a limitation in Windows Phone. Is that correct?

Hi Lunddal,

You are correct shared contacts will not work on the Windows phone. We have a nice little comparison chart on our website that shows what phone OS can and cannot do:

http://www.kerio.com/connect/connected/mobile

So you might find that interesting. However the public contacts should be working so are you having an issue with public contacts or shared contacts?

All the best,
Vicky

Yes. I recommend to ask your phone manufacturer about these details and limitations.
