Problem: Some email servers will tag email as SPAM because there is an IP Missmatch on Headers VS Actual...

Cause: IP Changed from X.X.X.34 to X.X.X.119 External DNS Records for mail.domain.com have been changed. The Rest of the world when it Resolves mail.domain.com is showing the correct X.X.X.119 IP...

However.. In the Headers of SENT email from this Server it says that the email comes from
Received: from mail.domain.com (unknown [X.X.X.34])

In other words the "OLD" IP

The Apple server has no Problem Resolving DNS to the Correct IP.
My Only Conclusion is that the Kerio Email program is telling that mail.domain.com is the OLD IP..

Where in the Configuration could this be changed?
Thanks
Russ

I would wonder what is actually setup on the internet's DNS system for the mail record? And if there is a reverse pointer record or not, or if it is correct? Or is there a service sending out the emails rather than the company sending them out from their email server.

I just looked at Headers again and the correct IP is showing up..
(OK I've changed Nothing) So It must be the ISP has not deleted old 'A' records on the old IP and people are still grabbing it.. (thus a miss match) UGH!!! ISP's Thanks MarkK

??? I guess that depends on how you are defining directly.
My in-house Kerio Connect Email server sends out our email directly. It can talk to gmail, yahoo, and the other email servers directly.
