Hello

I'm running KC on an Ubuntu 12.04 LTS server.

My question: Will Kerio Connect add support for the newly released "Trusty Tahr" / 14.04 Ubuntu server in the future? If so, when will this happen?

Regards
Erik

Hi Erik,

This is not supported with 8.2.4 but I do believe this might be coming with Kerio Connect 8.3.0. I currently have the 8.3.0 RC1 running on a 14.04 VM and seems to be running ok so far back I do not have any live users on it.

Keep your eyes peeled on the system requirements when 8.3.0 is released.

All the best,
Vicky

Great news!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this incompatibility a result of some components in KC still being 32bit?

Hi Erik,

With Ubuntu 13 I think there were issue due to unavailable dependencies (As the AV is still 32 bit) but Ubuntu 14 does not see to have that problem. The only thing I had to do extra when I went to install Kerio on Ubuntu 14 was run the following commands to get some OS updates:

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
apt-get -f install

Once I ran those Connect installed fine. If you have VMWare or a visualization software program available to you test it out and see how you get on.

All the best,
Vicky
