My backup has begun to get stuck. Running Centos, I have been unable to get a backup for a couple of weeks. It stops at 86%, then sits there with an ever expanding remaining time. I have restarted the service, and it still stops at 86%.

I have yet to restart the server, but wondered if anyone else has run into this problem. I plan to copy the entire kerio directory over to an external hdd before rebooting the server.

Hello Migsutu,

It would be worth turning on Debug logging for Message Store->Store Backup, and try running it again.

See if the logs give any clues.

Best regards,

Neil.

Thanks for the reply. I have restarted the server, and I had to run fsck on a volume to get it to boot back up. That allowed it boot, and Kerio started up. I attempted to run the backup again, and it got stuck at 86%. The logs show it stopping on 1 users subfolder in the inbox. I assume something is corrupted badly in this folder. What is the recommended course of action?

I expected that to be the case. It would be worth checking the user's account through webmail, and take a look in that folder for emails with large attachments, possible corrupted messages, etc.

If nothing obvious shows up, I would create a new subfolder through the webmail interface, and drag the messages from the corrupted folder across to the new location.

Then delete the original subfolder.
