This is my scenario:

I have user X running Kerio Offline with Outlook 2010. They have their mailbox (box A) and a second mailbox (box B) that they have admin rights on loaded in the Outlook profile. I have Item Clean-out configured on box B such that any deleted items older than 30 days are removed. From this user's Outlook it appears that the rule is not working as they are still showing items from 3/4/14 in the deleted items folder for box B. When we log into webmail for box B the trash folder is completely empty. When I check the "Deleted Items\#msgs" folder for box B on the server it is empty. But the "#deleted\#msgs" folder for box B on the server contains messages that are 30 days or older. So it appears to me that because this user is deleting the emails for box B from their Outlook profile that the Kerio server is dumping all of box A&B's deleted items into the box A "Deleted Items\#msgs" folder. Then at 30 days it is picking the box B emails out of box A's "Deleted Items\#msgs" folder. This is fine with me as I don't really care to much where the emails are stored for 30 days. My issue is that Outlook will not update the deleted items folder for box B correctly. Any suggestions?

Just to clarify, the 30 days are counting from the date the message has been deleted, not from the date it has been received. So if you see a mail from 3/4/14, this can be perfectly valid.

You can also look at the "Operations" log to see when which cleanout operation happened.

freakinvibe thank you for the response. I did not think to check that log when I was originally looking. So I looked through it and found alot of these:

[20/Apr/2014 14:32:59] {DELETE} Protocol: SYSTEM, User: $cleanout_agent, Folder: ~me<_at_>me.me/Junk E-mail, From: "Motor Homes

entries which shows the 30 day rule working for the Junk mail folder. But nothing for the deleted items folder. So my conclusion is that if you add a secondary email account to your Outlook and you delete emails from that account through Outlook that Kerio assoicates those emails with your deleted items. This would explain why the deleted items folder on the Kerio server is empty but the #deleted items folder has emails. This conclusion assumes that the emails in the Junk mailbox and being held in the #deleted folder for the 30 day recovery period.
