I need to setup LDAP users with the kerio-connect server.

I am reading: http://kb.kerio.com/product/kerio-connect/server-configurati on/ldap-and-directory-services/mapping-users-groups-from-ope nldap-or-generic-ldap-server-294.html

I am not succeeding in extending the LDAP schema with the kerio schema extensions. Please could you explain how to extend the LDAP schema with the kerio extensions.

This is what I have tried (broadly described)

1. Downloaded kerio-mailserver.schema from http://kb.kerio.com/file.php?id=48
2. Created a text file (kerio.conf) with all the existing schema files and the kerio schema.
3. Converted the schema files to ldif files, i.e. slaptest -f kerio.conf -F kerio.d
4. Removed the structuralObjectClass from the kerio ldif file
5. Changed the cn in the kerio ldif file to cn=config
6. Ran: ldapadd -Y EXTERNAL -H ldapi:/// -f cn\=\{6\}kerio-mailserver.ldif
Error message:
ldapmodify: modify operation type is missing at line 2, entry "cn=config"
7. Ran: ldapmodify -Y EXTERNAL -H ldapi:/// -f cn\=\{6\}kerio-mailserver.ldif
Error message:
ldap_add: Already exists (68)
8. Restart slapd

If a attempt to modify an existing LDAP user by adding kerio attributes I get
Command:
ldapmodify -Y EXTERNAL -H ldapi:/// -f kerio_user_mod.ldif

Error message:
ldapmodify: wrong attributeType at line 5, entry "cn=keriotestuser,dc=flavia,dc=local"

Kind regards

Robert
