Hi

We're in the process of testing Kerio connect 8.3 to see if it will work out for us. Currently we're running 7.4.1 on a bare metal machine. Ideally we'll be moving to a VM.
In our 7.4.1, we have the store dir on another drive.

1) Is anything in the store directory altered during the upgrade process?
We plan on doing a full restore to our 8.3 (trial) installation to ensure the data comes over properly. Once verified, we'll unhook the link to the store disk on 8.3 and connect it to 7.4.1 to ensure we have a rollback option.

2) When we're ready, can we just move our license key file from 7.4.1 to 8.3? Or, does anything else need to be done before Kerio8 calls itself licensed and registered?

3) Same question as #2, but for the config files.

Thank you.

We've decided to go the route of copying over our old kerio install to the VM, then doing a full restore. This test should answer the rest of my questions.
