Hi,
We've been trying to set DynDNS outgoing port through traffic rules, but then DynDNS just fails.
We have two internet links set up with load balancing, the worse link has more weight (all critical connections are forced through the better one with traffic rules).

We have been able to set the outgoing port by changing the weight of each link, but that would mean we would have to rework the whole load balancing design.

Has anyone been able to do this?

Upgrade to Control 8.3, you can select the interface for Dynamic DNS.

Hi rjokl,
We have 8.3 installed.
If I set the interface option then I get the local IP address for that interface (the one the router gives). I need the detected (public) IP address for that link.

Hi,

In Kerio Control v8.3.1 you have three options regarding the reported IP address:

1. The IP address configured on outgoing Internet interface.
2. Detected public IP address (This should be the option that you require).
3. IP address configured on interface.....

Hi Neil,
due to my bad link having more weight i get:

1. Bad link Public IP
2. Bad link Public IP
3. Good link internal IP

None of these options are good for me.
I might get Good link public IP with option 2., but but only after I get a greater load on the bad link for Kerio to load balance DynDNS onto the good link.

You can try to combine the second option with policy-routing traffic rule.

@rjokl:
Setting source NAT in traffic rules for all connections from the firewall to the internet and option 2. (detect public IP) gives me the error "Detecting of IP address failed."

Setting source NAT in traffic rules for all connections from the firewall to the internet and option 1. (The IP address configured on outgoing Internet interface.) gives me the error "Connection to the dynamic DNS server failed."
