Hi,

I came in to work this morning to find that my KC full text search db had started rebuilding itself. I did not click on the rebuild button, so there must be some other reason why this happened. Is there some automatic process for this to happen on a regular basis, or can anyone think of why this would happen?

Thanks for any advice,

There is no automatic periodic rebuild.
I guess it was started by another user with administrator rights from web admin, or the corrupted DB has been detected.

Hi Radek.

Thanks for your reply,

I'm 99.9 % sure no one else triggered it. Perhaps it did get corrupted somehow. I scrubbed the logs for what it could be but never found anything.

The issue yesterday became that the mystery rebuild became stuck after scanning just a couple accounts. I let it sit for most of the day and it went nowhere.

To resolve it I had to disable full text search, apply that, then re-enable it. I also saved it to a different location. That worked, and it appears all good now.

I'll call this issue closed for now.

Thanks!!!!
