Hi,
my company is migrating part of the emails to GApps for businesses.
The situation is that I'll have part of the emails in Google (with our custom.com domain) and part in Kerio (same custom.com domain).
My DNS is configured to use Google's MX addresses.
In Google I can decide to forward mails to users not found to another host, and I've set there the address of my kerio webmail (webmail.custom.com).
The problem is that the users that are still in my kerio server, when they send an email to a user that exists only in the new Google mail, will receive an error: user doesn't exist.
I need to setup, in the domain->forwarding, the forwarding host to google.
THe problem is that I don't know which value I should put there....
Any idea?

Thanks!

Not really a recommended setup, splitting a single domain email across two servers. Since you have the Kerio email server set to domain.com, you can not forward addresses found there to domain.com since the server thinks that is who it is and that it is the only email server for domain.com. I would think you would need to replace the gmail domain.com email server with IP#.#.#.#. Kerio will realize that this is not itself and should forward the email to the IP address. Just a guess.

If you have to keep maintain the user account in Kerio Connect, I think your only option is to setup forwarding for each address. Google Apps provides an alternate address for each account: <user><_at_><yourdomain>.test-google-a.com that you can use as a forwarding destination.

Under "Domains" in the "Forwarding" Tab, tick

"If the recipient was not found in this domain, forward the message to another host"

use "ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM" and port 25.

The risk there is an endless loop: Google forwards the message to kerio because the user is unknown. Kerio forwards the message to Google because the user is unknown. Repeat.

Thanks for the help, I'll go for the solution of dpswatson, it would solve me the issue! The other solution would be good if it wasn't for possible endless loops...

Thanks!
