Trying to update to the latest version (8.3.1 as of this post) in the virtual appliance. Per the docs its supposed to be a simple as downloading the .deb and ruining dpkg. I've done this in the past and it seemed to work fine, however now ... nothing seems to happen.

Yet when I refresh the console, it still shows 8.2.4 (2500)

Your forum refuses to let me post code saying I need more posts, otherwise I'd paste the terminal/CLI output of the update process. Just imagein a wget, followed by an uneventfull 'dpkg -i'.
