Hi,

We use attachment filter and used to receive a message with an "attachment removed" warning embedded into the message itself.
This was very good to let us know that the attachment was filtered and that we should request a resend of the file using another way.
This was working at version 8.2.2 and suddenly disappeared without notice.
Is there a way to have this message back?
Thanks.

Hi Reinaldo,

What version of Kerio Connect are you running? As I have tested this with 8.3.1 and the recipient of the email got this message inserted at the top of the email:

"This part of mail contained an attachment with prohibited file name: MIME type: video/x-ms-asf File name: _MG_9337.asf File size: 2.91 MB The attachment was removed by mailserver at mail.domain.com."

All the best,
Vicky

Hi Vicky,
We have at leasr 2 deployments behaving the same way: recipients do not receive any warning.
The main characteristics are:
- 8.2.2 was ok. Issue started at 8.3.0 and is still there at 8.3.1
- running under ubuntu 64 bits
- language is brazilian portuguese
- downloading messages using POP3 from external provider into Connect (final recipient is different from the original one). Example: original recipient: user@domain.com; final recipient at Connect: user<_at_>domain.net.

Is there any change in the configuration options? Is there any parambter we should check in order to have this feature running?
Thanks.

Hi Reinaldo,

What happens if you send an email internally with a banned attachment? Does the message then get added to the recipients email?

All the best,
Vicky

Hi Reinaldo,

I think you would benefit opening this as a support ticket with us as this really could do with some involvement from development.

Is the server set to English? I am just wondering if this could be a language thing in the software.

All the best,
Vicky

Hi Vicky,

The support ticket is open.
The server is set to Brazilian Portuguese not to English.
It was working fine with version 8.2.2.
Regards,
Reinaldo
