Hi,

Kerio KB article http://kb.kerio.com/product/kerio-connect/installation-and-u pgrade/installing-kerio-connect-on-ubuntu-server-1404-lts-16 28.html states as optinoal step 5 to replace sendmail by the Kerio binary of sendmail.

I wonder what would be the benefit of doing so?
As the files are actually copied (not symlinked), I will need to remember to do so upon each update of KC, and even probably upon each OS update (potentially overwriting the files) - wouldn't I?

Any opinions or experiences?

(Until now, I always was using KC on Windows, thats why I am a bit unsure.)

Thanks,
Philipp

Sendmail utility does not need to be updated every time. It works with any Kerio Connect version. Update is recommended when some component used in Sendmail (eg. OpenSSL library) needs to be patched.
