We were using a 32bit compiled version of the avir_clam.so successfully in version 8.2.4 Kerio Connect.

Since upgrading to 8.3.1 we are now getting the following error:

AntivirusModule.cpp: Server: external plugin failed to start Unable to load library /opt/kerio/mailserver/plugins/avserver/avirs/avir_clam.so, error: Unable to load AV plug-in /opt/kerio/mailserver/plugins/avserver/avirs/avir_clam.so. (/opt/kerio/mailserver/plugins/avserver/avirs/avir_clam.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32)

I know this is complaining about it being 32bit but it used to work before.

Anyone come across this?

We are running Kerio Connect on Centos 6 64bit, this was the same OS we were running 8.2.4 on.

Any help would be appreciated.

What does

"file opt/kerio/mailserver/plugins/avserver/avirs/avir_clam.so"

"ldd opt/kerio/mailserver/plugins/avserver/avirs/avir_clam.so"

show you?

Might want to check with the "readelf" tool ("readelf -d opt/kerio/mailserver/plugins/avserver/avirs/avir_clam.so") if all the dependencies are still met.

"Readelf" is not part of the Os but can be found in the common "binutils" package

Kerio Connect 8.3 is fully 64-bit and requires AV plug-ins to be compiled as 64-bit libraries (for 64-bit version of Kerio Connect, of course). The library you have is 32-bit.
