Has anyone successfully setup the Cisco SPA502G with TLS and SRTP Encryption? If so, please could you provide some useful pointers as I am struggling to make this work successfully.

Many thanks.

Well after a lot of searching I found this document in Cisco Support Forums. Ignore the first section about changes to Asterisk, but the second half of the page describes very well how to get TLS and Encryption working. Sharing in case anyone else wants to achieve the same setup:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/58981/secure-commun ications-between-spa-phones-and-asterisk-18-using-tls-and-sr tp

Thanks.

Hi,

have you noticed any issues with the encryption? As far as I can tell, it works fine.

Filip

PS: To get rid of the annoying beeps, erase the Secure Call Indication Tone on the Regional tab.

Hi Filip,

No issues so far. Encryption seems to work really well and I'm glad to have resolved it as this particular phone will be used as an external extension.

Simon

PS: Thanks for the tip. Had seen these tones reported in the regional tab, but will surely remove them now! Smile
