We have several conference rooms.
Some of them suddenly appear in the Mail app as Emailfolders with a tilde in front, why

Is it also normal if one setup a resource, that anyone of the Domain can subscribe the resource calendar and see all Meeting Details?

We are running kerio Connect 8.3.2 on an xServe with 10.6.8 and 8GB RAM

Thanks for any hint to solve that problem

Hi Joerg,

It is normal that all users on the domain can subscribe to the calendar folder in their calendar clients and/or webmail.

In regards to the resources showing up in the Mail app on your Mac, this is probably down to the folder.map file having an entry in it. You can do the following to remove this ghost folder:

1. Stop Kerio Connect
2. Navigate to your store/mail/[domain]/[username] folder
3. Open the folder.map file in a text editor
4. Remove the entries for the resource and save the changes
5. Start Kerio Connect

This should get rid of the ghost folder in Apple Mail.

All the best,
Vicky

You mean for the whole domain? That means 200 Accounts.
Does Re-Indexing maybe resolve the problem?

Hi Joerg,

Re-indexing is very unlikely to clear old entries in the folder.map. You would need to amend this file for each user having the issue. Unfortunately there is no automated way to clear old links in that file through Kerio. You are more than welcome to list it as a feature request via the 'Suggest Idea' button in your Web Admin console.

All the best,
Vicky

That should not be a new suggest idea, but more a bugfix

Only users selected in resource settings can map the resource calendar. If you have chosen all users in your domain to be able to reserve a resource then all users in our domain can see the calendar.
However, they cannot see the details because all events in resource calendar have only meeting organizer as a subject and meetings have no details. (Unless you create the meetings manually with all details or change the configuration file).
