We use 8.3.2 on virtual Win Server 2003. Exchange accounts on iPhones from 4 to 5S, about fifteen.

The error log shows an extreme amount of these;
[date/time] ASyncUtil.cpp: ActiveSyncAttachmentProperty::ParseAttachmentReference: Invalid attachment path: 191AF69B-0088-47D2-AD66-6C9D08949C46
[date/time] ASyncUtil.cpp: ActiveSyncAttachmentProperty::ReadContent: Invalid attachment: 191AF69B-0088-47D2-AD66-6C9D08949C46

How can I find which user and then which iPhone gives these errors?

Hi Per,

The way I try and do this is to enable the 'ActiveSync Synchronization' in the debug log to try and track who is active at the time of the error messages in the error log.

So go to the debug log, right click in the right hand window, messages and enable 'ActiveSync Synchronization'. This should help you find the user with the issue.

All the best,

In 8.3.x (and earlier as well), to find users of affected phones is little bit uncomfortable.
You have to activate HTTP Server Modules/ActiveSync Synchronization in Connect's debug log. Then, you have to match time of error log entry w/ time in debug log. The command causing this is GetAttachment so there will be line looking like this:

[<date> <time>][<thread ID>] {activesync} ActiveSyncRequest::Initialize: URI query: User=<user>&DeviceId=Appl<something>&DeviceType=iPhone&Cmd=GetAttachment&AttachmentName=191AF69B-0088-47D2-AD66-6C9D08949C46, User Agent: Apple-iPhone<something>, client IP address: <an address>

The <user> is your user.

However we don't know why and when Apple devices send such request. Searching Google indicates other servers facing this as well.

BTW: In Connect 8.4, there should be user/device information within each ActiveSync error log entry.
