Hi all,

Got a bit of a problem, for one specific user I cant disable out of office message, I mean its turned off but the message is still sent out! I have turned it off and on in webmail and in the old wembail etc, there are no other mail rules.

I have:
-Restarted the server
-updated to latest connect version

Worst bit is this user has come back to 700+ auto responder messages from our SMTP feed, his auto responder responded to the no reply address and now they are stuck in a constant loop!

Any help appreciated.

It looks like this is not the standard out-of-office rule. The standard rule will only send a reply once every 7 days to a specific address, so no looping can occur.

I guess the user has setup his own rule. Check through all the rules of that user.

You are correct, I took his word for it that he had no custom rules himself, even checked on webmail no rules....BUT god damn apple mail had his own rule set that does not populate back to server!

Ah well sorted now, lesson learnt, and I just wasted one of my free support tickets also :/
