Has anybody else had problems with the NAT functionality of KWF and using GameSpy successfully? This has been there for quite a few versions (including 6.04).

I know it isn't the firewall portion of KWF because if I disable the NAT rule and use something else (i.e Windows Server 2003 NAT) everything works fine.

Thanks.

I have similar problems. Look for "Kerio WinRoute Firewall as gateway" or
"Counter Strike" in the subject to find my posts on the topic.

1. Is there anything newer than 6.0.4? I don't think so!
2. I don't think your CS problems are the same. As I said, if you use a different NAT product there is no problem (I make no other adjustments to the firewall apart from disabling the NAT rule).

I am having the same problems with gamespy, i virtually mapped every port there is for gamespy and it still wont work.

i have the problems with Toca Race driver 2 / DTM race drive pro 2

weird thing is when i am in the game and create a gamespy account, i can use it that session , when i later retry to use that username it stalls and says cant connect to gamespyid.com

i can see that there is a NAT connection from port 29900 to my local computer so it communicates. i suspect there is something in winroute that keeps it from communicating well

other ports as stated on the gamespy website i mapped:
6667 (IRC)
3783 (Voice Chat Port)
27900 (Master Server UDP Heartbeat)
28900 (Master Server List Request)
29900 (GP Connection Manager)
29901 (GP Search Manager)
13139 (Custom UDP Pings)
6515 (Dplay UDP)
6500 (Query Port)

//search on google on winroute and gamespy there seems to a problem on how winroute handles ip translations

Try turning off the Protocol Inspector for IRC. Worked for me. Smile
