Hi there

Our error log contains almost exclusivly the following message.

[16/Jun/2014 09:48:34] erage_DAVRequest.cpp: The following error occured while reading XML request body: EntityRef: expecting ';'

It repeats up to 15 x per minute.
Is this something to worry about? The mail server seems to be behaving normally.
My only concern is that this message may drown out other potentially important messages.

version 8.2.4 (2550)
os. Mac OS X (10.8.5), x86_64

Cheers
Phil

Hi Phil,

Try enabling WebDAV requests in the Debug log and compare it with the Error.log? Maybe there is some strange corrupted item we can find using the WebDAV logging (we can compare time from the error.log with events in the debug.log).

If still no joy, I'd suggest that you raise a support ticket so that we can assist you in more detail.

Best wishes,

Neil.

Thanks, will do that.
btw, what's the correct way to backup to a network drive?
Can I enter an url like afp://server or does it have to be a locally mounted share (/Volumes/share)?

Cheers
Phil

Hi Phil,

You will need to mount the drive locally to the Mac to be able to use it as a backup drive (/Volumes/drivename).

All the best,
Vicky
