Hi,

What processor configurations are supported by Kerio Connect? If memory serves, some time ago Kerio began supporting multi-core, but does Connect now also support multiple processors? The configuration I'm putting up is 2 Octal core processors on Windows Server 2012 R2.

Thanks!

http://www.kerio.com/support/kerio-connect Tech Specs --> Server and scroll down to "Hardware"

At the end of the day, Kerio Connect does not require more than two CPU cores, however additional cores may provide a minor performance benefit.

Thanks for the pointer ksynder. Our configuration is larger than those mentioned in the hardware specs. We are currently running a single quad core processor and solid state disk drives and would like to upgrade the hardware platform but only if the Kerio Connect software is capable of taking advantage of more cores and/or multiple processors.

Possibly someone from Kerio would comment? Is the Kerio Connect software able to take advantage of dual octal core processors?

Thanks!

Sorry! After looking at KSnyder's info it seems he is with Kerio US. So, the answer is: Kerio Connect does not take advantage of more than dual cores and dual processors do not offer any advantages. Thanks for the info!

It is just a minimal and recommended configuration to handle defined number of users.
Kerio Connect utilizes all CPU cores on all CPUs. If you have 8 quadcore CPUs, it will use all 32 cores.
