Hi,

I'm getting this error messages on debug log:
New connections throttling level exceeded, closing: java.nio.channels.SocketChannel[connected local=/192.168.11.5:5222 remote=/192.168.100.18:50338] (ConnectionOpenThread.run)

Any ideas?

I'm using pidgin as a client.
I have 72 users on this server only a few users having the issue connecting to the server.

Hi,

This message is printed when number of new connections for particular port (5222 in your case) exceeds 200 in one second. It could be caused by a DOS attack or some broken IM client.

Start with Active Connections in Web Admin. Is there a high number of XMPP not-authenticated (without user) connections? What is their source IP?

Cheers,
Tomas Skoda
