Hi there,

is it possible to use the kerio outlook connector to just display the public folders (in my case contacts) of a mailbox without the need to subscribe the mailbox itself?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Philipp,

You can configure the Connector to only sync the Contacts but you would have to disable the syncing for all the other folders. You can achieve this by:

1. Configuring the email account in Outlook
2. Open Outlook
3. Right on a folder you do not want to Sync
4. Choose Properties
5. Choose Folder Synchronization
6. Un-tick 'Enable Synchronization of the folder' and tick the option 'Set also to all subfolders (that way you do not have to do any sub folders that belong to the root folder)

This is what you would need to do on all the folders you do not wish to subscribe to and have sync. Sadly there isn't a global option to stop syncing on all folders.

All the best,
Vicky

Thanks for the quick reply, Vicky! I disabled the folder synchronisation but the mailbox is still visible within outlook. It seems that there is no way to hide or delete the mailbox without losing access to the public contact folder. Am I still missing something?

Hi Philipp,

You cannot hide the folders but the steps I put in the previous post will stop them from syncing any further. You can collapse the folders so they are not visible but they will still there in the email client.

All the best,
Vicky
