We have been using Kerio connect for a few years now and it has been a relief for organizing our emails since we started!

But more and more of my colleagues start to question why they can't synchronize their shared calendars and contacts on their smartphones: android and ios.

As far as I understand this it can be blamed on android and ios for not asking the server for the shared calendars, but why hasn't kerio come up with a client or adapter for smartphones yet, which would fix this gab in the smartphone operation systems?

Especially the shared calendar becomes more and more important to our office and I wonder which solutions to synchronize them to android and ios are the officially recommended way of doing it?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Shared calendar and contacts are synchonized to iOS for years! I think you have configured your mobile phone incorrectly.

Alright, I put some time into this today and actually found out that if we create a shared calendar under calendars, the synchronization actually does work.
But our calendar was created under shared folders -> new calendar... that one does not synchronize!

Thanks for helping!

Well now I'm really confused, the calendar I created under my calendars and shared with my colleagues is only synchronized for me, but no one else.

Could you please explain how to properly setup a shared calendar so it gets synchronized with active exchange sync on all devices?

Thanks!

Each user has to select which folders to synchronize to their mobile device. You can do this in Kerio Connect client. Instructions are in KB 1507 http://kb.kerio.com/1507

Thanks for helping Brian!

Alright, all my colleagues activated the shared calendar in the weblogin. All of them sync the mails and calendar on their smartphones via "exchange activeSync". Some now see the shared calendar on their smartphone, same don't.

A iphone 6 can see it, same for a galaxy S4
A galaxy S3 and a note S3 can not see the shared calendar...

What is limiting this feature and how can we make sure all colleagues see the shared one?

Each Android client and version has different behavior. If the shared or public calendar or contact is not synchronized to particular device (but it is to others) then the only solution is to buy a phone that supports it. Unfortunately, Google does not publish what is supported on Android and neither does Samsung.

Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Exchange_ActiveSy nc_clients for a published list of what's supported on each platform. Your mileage may vary.

Thanks guys for the infos, appreciate it very much.
It still pretty unsatisfying information! I don't understand why android is not addressing this.

But why hasn't kerio come up with an adapter for android yet?

Any experience with "CalDAV-Sync" anyone?
