Hi,

my job is to replace exchange with kerio. But Kerio is to run again on the same server.

Which possibility of migration is there?

Thanks for your help

You can run both Exchange and Connect on the same server, but migration tool (KEMT) must be run on different machine then Exchange. KEMT uses MAPI libraries for reading data from Exchange and IMAP service and administration port (4337) for saving data to Connect server.
So you can follow these steps:
  1. stop IMAP(S) service on Exchange
  2. install Connect on the same server, stop all services except IMAP(S)
  3. install and run KEMT on some other machine

it is going to be more complicated as both Exchange/Kerio by default listen to the same port (port 25 for SMTP, 110 (pop), 143 (imap)... You can still do this on the same server but you will need to use different ports otherwize you will encounter some issues

Yes, you can't have two servers listening on the same port. But the only service (port) you need for migration is IMAP port on Connect, and that's why I advised to stop IMAP service on Exchange and all other services on Connect.
