my client has one user who has a recent problem with Notes. It appears that they are missing about the last six months of notes. They connect with Outlook connector but the same problem is present when they use the Kerio client.
We want to restore the Notes only. Is this possible? Is it considered a Folder and thus can be restored accordingly?

Hi gaselec

Yes, if the notes are still in a Kerio backup file, you can recover them.

please check this kb -

http://kb.kerio.com/product/kerio-connect/server-configurati on/archiving-and-backup/examples-of-data-recovery-in-kerio-c onnect-1141.html

and look at the example for recovery of a single folder for a user for information.

Hope this helps.

So does this look sensible? I cant get it to do anything at the moment. What about the inverted commas and the spaces in the Volume name?
./kmsrecover -v -d mse.tv -u john -f "Notes" /Volumes/Kerio Backup store/F20150104T040010Z.zip
many thanks

Hi Simon,

That kmsrecover command seems fine apart from the spaces in the drive name for the backup location. The command should look like this:

./kmsrecover -v -d mse.tv -u john -f "Notes" /Volumes/Kerio" "Backup" "store/F20150104T040010Z.zip

Also make sure you have navigated into the 'MailServer' folder before issuing this command.

All the best,
Vicky

Thank you very much. It was late last night and I knew those inverted commas went in but couldn't work out where! Will try again tonight.
