We've just acquired a small company that uses Windows Live to retrieve their email messages from mail hosted at their web host. We've determined that the messages are downloaded to the PC as .eml files.

We are now setting up the users on our Kerio Connect and they will use Outlook as the mail client. We are looking for ways migrate their old mail.

Is it possible to move these .eml files into the user's Kerio Connect mailbox?
Or any other suggestions?

I believe that Windows Live will allow export to pst files, and least the most recent version does. Should be a POC after that.

As ComputerBudda points out, it should be easy after getting the PST files. See http://kb.kerio.com/373

The import is possible:
Place .eml file(s) to the root of user's account (ie. mailserver/store/mail/<domain>/<user>/ ) and login to the the webmail. All found .eml files will be imported to the Inbox folder as new messages.

or move these .eml files to existing folder structure in user's account and reindex account(s) in webadmin. (compare with another accounts where to place .eml files)

I suggest create some test account... Wink
