Out of interest, I checked out one of Deerfield's other other offerings, Visnetic Mail Server, since it promoted a lot of anti-spam features.

I downloaded a trial copy, and was impressed at the level of configuration available for SpamAssassin. You can edit the local.cf & Bayesain filters directly from the GUI, in addition to enabling or disabling SA for individual accounts (rather than as a global option), a challenge respose system and automatic SA data file updating. In summary, it is far more sophisticated than KMS when it comes to SPAM.

I still consider KMS overall to be a better offering than Visnetic, however still falling short in its handling of SPAM.

I really thought we would see such features in KMS6. How about it Kerio?

How about it Kerio? Rolling Eyes

Hmm, we already have this in the plan. Suggestion accepted.

Thanks - this *is* appreciated.

When I first installed KMS nearly a year ago, I found that I had to add rules for each of our domains to bypass the SPAM filter for users with laptops who were sending mail remotely (we are a sales oriented company so there is a lot of travel). Of course, SPAM with spoofed addresses that match the domains hosted on my server get through via these rules.

I did implement SMTP authentication to send mail, but mail sent via this was still scanned by SpamAssassin - what I need is an option to allow mail sent via authenticated SMTP to bypass the SPAM filter, so I can remove these static rules for each of our domains.
