Hello,

In the configuration of relay, i can put how users behave for outgoing emails.

How can I do the same thing for incoming emails? I would like to accept email for only by a local ip address (our security gateway) or only from authenticated users.

Is that possible?

Thanks for your help.

http://kb.kerio.com/222 sounds like it's somewhat related and might, at the very least, point you in the right direction

Hi Ken,
side security gateways are ok.
I mean a local user sends to a local user. I can not find an option to force an user authentication for sending between local users

Stop SMTP and SMTPS services in Kerio Connect and set them for manual start. Then change port for SMTP submission to 25. This would do the trick and force authentication for all incoming SMTP connections. You can also select only particular clients in Access tab.

Please note that not accepting messages for local users without authentication is a violation os SMTP RFC and you will not be able to accept any message from the Internet (directly).

To do this, restrict SMTP on certain client IP address only and instruct your users to use port 587 for sending emails (it is usually default port in many clients).

I also followed this guide to restrict unauthorized sending of messages. But now I found [1], that this breaks the iOS account wizard...

Any suggestions?
