Between a DHCP with AD and DNS attached or to the DHCP from Kerio... what drawbacks and advantages are there against each other?

If you are already using AD and AD integrated DNS then MS DHCP would be my choice as this provides auto updating of your DNS A and PTR records upon client lease expiration, plus you have a single reporting / analysis base when all contained within the MS tools. If you use Kerio you are relying on clients to update. We only use Kerio DHCP for the guest networks but it works well.
