We are planning to upgrade Kerio Connect 8.3.2 to 8.4.2 some time this week.

Can anyone tell me whether this upgrade requires modifications to the database and/or reinitializing the KOFF cache?

All of our users are running KOFF with Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 desktops, and I need to let them know what to expect when the automatic KOFF upgrade kicks in.

Will this one be a quick and easy upgrade of the KOFF software -- or does it require database changes or a KOFF cache refresh that can take a LONG time with larger mailboxes?

Hi Doug,

Typically upgrading from 8.3 to 8.4 does not affect the database of KOFF but you cannot rule out an issue with one or two people should the upgrade detect an inconsistency in the database and requires a re-build.

Best thing to do is to advise the users where the empty cache option is in the KOFF settings in case anything like that is needed.

All the best,
