We started having problems with the UPS API 2 days ago.

At first I thought it was the new virus scanner, however, our branch location isn't experiencing these issues.

What happens is at the point in time a user clicks "Check Rates" (aka checking shipping rates from UPS.com), we get an error message "System error: This is usually a temporary error during hostname resolution and means that the local server did not receive a response from an authoritative server"

This is the info we got from UPS:
However, the IT Standards community has identified vulnerabilities in the SSL 3.0 encryption protocol. Because of this UPS has decided to no longer support this standard. TLS 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 are the preferred methods of encryption.

Please make sure you are using the TLS 1.0 or higher security protocol for all Developer APIs requests.

The only thing different from the branch locations is the fact that we haven't updated Kerio at the branches, and we did in the main office.

Is there a way we can roll back and see if that's what the problem is?

Hello,

You can downgrade Kerio Control by going to Configuration -> Advanced options -> Update checker -> Upgrade by uploading binary image file

Download the version you want to downgrade to from http://download.kerio.com/archive/

Choose the upgrade image for the needed version and use it in Upgrade image button.

All the best,

Jonas

Thank you for the quick response.

I finally ended up doing a packet capture, and found it was a DNS issue on our Internal network. Embarassed

So nothing to do with the update at all! You guys are great! Thanks for all the help!
