both phones have had different users, and are on the same switch with other users who do not share this problem.

i am unable to find anything else related to this event in any of the logs

the actual problem my customer has is that the phone's reboot at random times.

thanks for your time in advance!

Have you tried to factory reset the phone? It usually helps.

Also have you configured any template overrides for the SPA525? If you did, there might be a syntax error, etc.

Hi

please log as an Admin in the phone's web interface. <http://IP/admin/advanced>

On the Info tab, there is a reboot history. This will tell you why the phone rebooted. As far as I know, phones reboot:
a) when Operator sends a SIP resync request (described as "Provisioning" in the history)
b) periodically (configurable at tab Provisioning)
c) on manual request through the phone menu or by opening /admin/reboot

I am not aware of any syntax checking tool. However, if you didn't modify the template overrides, it should be fine.

Is there anything interesting about the username or full name? Accented characters, or anything worth considering?

Filip
