When moving a messages from one folder to another, a lot of times after the messages has been placed in the new folder, there is also a copy of the messages in the Trash.

Now, it appears that this is because Kerio Connect is reporting that it doesn't support the IMAP Move command. So the email clients copies the message to the new folder and then when the copy is complete, it issues a delete command on the messages from the source folder, which then ends up having Kerio Connect place the "deleted" message in the trash.

Is there a workaround for this, or is Kerio planning on implementing the IMAP Move command so that this behavior doesn't happen.

We will look into supporting the move extension for IMAP. Currently is it processed as a copy and temporarily stored in the trash as marked for deletion. Restarting the client should clear it from the trash, or you can set the server to automatically delete messages marked for deletion. There are some instructions here http://kb.kerio.com/product/kerio-connect/troubleshooting/wh y-does-kerio-connect-automatically-expunge-messages-marked-f or-deletion-through-imap-753.html

We have the AutoExpunge set to 1 already. Since these are marked as deletes from their original folder, they stay in the "Trash/Deleted Items" folder, until either the client program hits its # of purge days, which for Apple Mail is usually 30 days. Or the CleanOut Agent is set for a specific number of days and cleans out the trash.

Supporting the IMAP Move will be great, thanks.
