Hi,

one of our Kerio users gets 5.7.1 Authentication Required error when he tries to send an email to local users. Sending to external addresses works fine.

Any hints?

All the best,

Hi,

they're using Apple Mail on current version of OSX.
I'll verify the behaviour of webmail.

Regards

Hi Tomy,

Does the Kerio server require outgoing authentication? As the log seems to point to that, you can go into Apple Mail->Preferences->Accounts->Edit the Outgoing SMTP Server and from there you can enter in the users password and Apple Mail will then send outgoing authentication.

All the best,
Vicky

Hi,

those settings are alright. He can send e-mails via kerio to all other email addresses, just the local ones do not work.
let ab@mymail.de be his address, so he can send to xy@yourmail.de but trying to send to xy<_at_>mymail.de brings up the error.

Hi Tomy,

I think you would benefit from opening a support ticket with us as we can get you to run some debug logging and go into more depth with your settings etc... Would you be willing to do that?
