I think I've figured this out.

My customer wants a calendar to show what everyone is doing - they do not want to subscribe to everyones calendar to see everything that each employee is doing, they only want to see when employees are offsite or in meetings with other employees.

The employee sets up the meeting, invites others, includes a detailed subject line, and includes the resource calendar in the invite.

If this is what you need, this should work perfectly:

Create a resource calendar for the company - call it company_cal or whatever you want.

Make the following changes In mailserver.cfg:

Change ClearEventSubject to 0 ## this shows the subject of the event, instead of just showing the resource is busy
Change AllowMultipleReservation to 1 ## this allows the calendar to automatically show/accept overlapping events

like this:

<list name="Resource">
<variable name="Name">company_cal</variable>
<variable name="Domain">domain.com</variable>
<variable name="Description"></variable>
<variable name="Type">0</variable>
<variable name="IsAvailable">1</variable>
<variable name="ClearEventSubject">0</variable>
<variable name="AllowMultipleReservation">1</variable>
<variable name="Manager">mpetito<_at_>fratelli.com</variable>
<variable name="Guid">028bf719-1rec-4ed4-abae-4fb5bef35cb5</variable >
<variable name="ResourceUsers">authuser<_at_>fratelli.com</variable >
<variable name="Flags">0</variable>

Then, have users sync that calendar to their Caldav or Exchange if they are using something other than the Connect Client.

Invite the resource, and the invitation shows up on that Resource calendar, auto accepts, and allows multiple bookings, so every time the resource gets invited, it gets automatically added.
