What happened to it. I upgraded from 5.x to 6.1 and it is gone. I was going to check it out to see if it might work for our org. I can see that it could be a lot of good if set up properly. Obviously I would have to pay for it but I don't even see an option to buy.

Hallo,

can anyone tell me, if the Fax Server is available in future releases of KMS??

Why is it gone?

I'll Chime in on this one, the fax module wasn't critical but it was certainly a feature that swayed our purchase when evaluating Mailserver 6.

So where has it gone?

Do we need to start evaluating other fax solutions? Or it is returning in a future release?

I checked on this when KMS 6.0 was first released because the fax plug in is no longer available for download. Here's the story...

If you purchased the fax module for previous releases you'll find it activated in KMS 6.0. However, they're no longer selling it and will support it for the next year for existing users only. Eventually it will be phased out completely.

Hopefully they'll reconsider - we use the module (for outgoing faxes only) and found it to be very useful.
