My attempt to move my 7.1 Kerio Connect over to Ubuntu 14.04 has failed. I'm moving from OS X to Ubuntu, btw.
I have followed these steps:
Download older Kerio Connect 7.1 from http://download.kerio.com/archive/, .

sudo apt-get install sysstat
sudo locale-gen *.UTF-8
dpkg -i kerio-connect-7.1.0-1792-linux.deb

Runs through some basic configuration screens then when it tries to start it fails with:

sudo /etc/init.d/kerio-connect start
* Starting Kerio Connect Engine start-stop-daemon: unable to start /opt/kerio/mailserver/mailserver (No such file or directory)

I'm guessing because it's a 32bit application on a 64bit OS.
However my attempts to figure out how to run the 32bit app in 64bit has also failed.
Can someone advise on this one for me?

The error says that it is either that the file does not exist, check the path, or that you cannot use it, check the permissions for the files and the service owner.

You need to install Kerio Connect 8.3.1 or higher on Ubuntu 14.04.

Thowden, thanks, I did, however, check all that first. This is definitely an architecture issue. Pavel has nailed it, 8.3.1 is where I have to jump to from 7.1. I fear the $$$$$$ I'll have to dish out to move up that much. Thanks everyone.
