One of our staff who had a name change would like to change her e-mail address. While we set up a 2nd email address with her married name it would be better to make her new email address her married name. I can think of 2 approaches and want to make sure that one of them would work properly.

1) Create her new e-mail account. Then delete her current e-mail account from KC, tell it to delete her mail folder and move her mail to her new account. While this would take care of mail I wonder what would happen to her calendar and contacts. And then she would have to move her huge old mail inbox to her new mail inbox. Then delete and add accounts from her client devices.

2) Delete her old account without deleting her mailboxes. Then rename the mail folder to match what will be her new mail account and then create the new mail account. Then delete and add accounts from her client devices.

Should #2 work, and if so is there anything I should worry about. Or is there a better way?

http://kb.kerio.com and search for "married". Also suggest you consider using alias for the old email address to be associated with the new one.
