Hi,can anyone help me. Now when I turn on my computer it starts up OK showing the windows logo and then presents me with a blank screen, no icons on the desktop or anything so I can't access anything. Can someone give me some advice, and make it easy to understand as I'm not an IT techie..thanks

What version of Kerio did you install? What version of Windows do you use?

Can you press Ctrl Alt Del and go to the task list? If so you can start an explorer manually and do some troubleshooting steps.

HI Pascal, thanks for replying. I am
using Windows 98SE, as for Kerio - I assume it is the latest edition as it came from the Kerio site only 2/3 days ago. I pressed alt, contr. delete just now and it came up with the Close Program Box and the message Msgsrv32 (not responding). Hope you can help further.
Best regards
Scorpio

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode and uninstalling Kerio?

Personally I think Windows 98 is a teribble OS and definitely not suitable to run something like a Mailserver.

I would reccomend upgrading to Windows 2000 Server, not been that impressed with Windows 2003 server. Or alternatively install Linux I think Kerio is compatible with a few of the major releases.

Hi, I tried pressing F8, I think that is the right key to reboot immediately on starting but I get the setup utility Main Menu which you normally get from F1...any advice or am I pressing the wrong key to reboot?

If you keep pressing F8 directly after the bios screen until the windows menu appears. You can then select Windows Safe Mode.

Thankyou so much, guess I must have been trying to reboot too soon, but I this time I waited a moment after switching on and finally got there, deleted Kerio and got my desktop back in good order.
Thanks again
Dianne
