Hi Guys,

we are going to switch from Exchange to Kerio Connect. All of our users are running on Terminal Server with Small Roaming Profiles. Is there a way to disable Caching in KOFF? We cannot use KOC because we are running Outlook 2010.

Looking forward to your ideas.

Best regards,
etests

You should consider the Kerio Connect Client. Otherwise there is an option in KOFF to synchronize only headers. http://kb.kerio.com/product/kerio-connect/email-clients/keri o-outlook-connector/synchronizing-microsoft-outlook-with-ker io-connect-1467.html

Brian, thanks for fast replay. Our clients loosing there Exchange, loosing outlook too at the same day is no option. Wink
So we just can try the Option with the headers, but I see problems, with bigger mailboxes.

You can just the same like us (click my user and search for my postings - the first ones have all crucial information about it).

Build a SSD into the server (one is enough) - depending on the users - with approx. the same size like the mail storage. Kerio Size on Server is around 100 GB, Cachesize of all users is 37 GB.

Then search my posts or the docu of kerio - there's a reg key that let you select a different path for the cache - the SSD in that case.

The Path is set with the grouppolicies in the registry.

That way all users use the KOFF with the cache set to a local SSD. You wont need a SSD Raid (keep a spare SSD in case of failure and the cache can be synced again). That way your roaming profiles won't be touched and the outlook itself is fast as hell. Also takes SOME IO of the kerioserver itself.

Runs awesome here with 25 mailboxes :3

And Brian .... the kerio connect client is a nice feature for a small company, but any bigger one with it's own erp software system NEEDS a real, local client for the mapi connection into the erp. Otherwise you can't save the mails into the ERP/CRM etc.
