I'm having a hard time understanding content filtering in Kerio Control 8.6.1
Consider the following:
[Rule 1] Source: 192.168.1.1 | Destination: www.contoso.com | Service: TCP 80 (no inspector) | Action: Allow
[Rule 2] Source: 192.168.1.1 | Destination: Internet Interfaces | Service: HTTP (inspector) | Action: Allow
[Rule 3] Block other traffic
[Rule 1] Source: 192.168.1.1 | Detected content: Microsoft Update | Action: Allow
[Rule 2] Source: 192.168.1.1 | Detected content: Any | Action: Deny
[Rule 3] Allow other traffic
I read that for content filtering the traffic must be controlled by protocol inspector.
192.168.1.1 will be able to obtain Microsoft Updates?
192.168.1.1 will be able to browse http://www.contoso.com?
192.168.1.1 will be able to browse (HTTP method) any site?
Thanks in advance.
