Hi Folks,

we urgently need provisioning support for the Snom D765 (which is the successor of the Snom 760).

Or is there any way to have Operator (running v. 2.4.3 build 4805) recognize the D765 as an 760?

Thx
Silverstar

A new model should be detected as "snom (uknown)", unless snom has changed the behaviour significantly.

Hi Vladimir,

thanks for jumping in.
You're right, the phones are detected as "Snom (unknown)".

We're making heavy use of template ovverides here. Some are based on the phone model:
<_at_> if ($IDENT === 'snom760'...

Can you tell me how I can add the "unknown" model to the if-statement?

Thx

Hi,

the string for unknown snom models should be 'snom_generic'.

Hi Filip,

thanks a lot! That works Smile
Do you have the new Dxxx line of snom on the to do list for adding native prov. support?

Cheers

Yes, we will add it to the provisioning system.

The phone should work fine even when detected as snom (unknown). The only feature missing should be a firmware upgrade.
