Good afternoon, all!

I'd like to determine whether or not it's possible for Control to assign a static IP address to incoming VPN Client connections dependent on the source client. In my case, I have a director who connects to the office LAN from his own home via the Kerio VPN Client, which he has set up on a desktop PC and a laptop. Each client is configured to use a persistent connection. However, in some cases, I've found that the IPs assigned to these clients will change once the connection is dropped and reconnected.

Quite often, my director will come in to the office and require access to one of the devices at his home address. This isn't a problem so long as the client at his house is connected, as I'm able to provide him with the IP assigned to it by Control (i.e. 10.189.xxx.xx). He'll then RDP across. I'm currently getting an e-mail or two a week to say that he's unable to connect using the IP I've provided him with previously due to the aforementioned change.

Is it possible to configure Control to recognise which client (in this case, the PC or the laptop) a VPN connection is originating from and assign a pre-defined, static IP?

In the properties of the user under the "Addresses" tab there is an option to set a static IP address for VPN clients.

Thanks very much for your reply, and for this information! Would entering a static IP against this user not result in the same IP being assigned to multiple devices?

Kerio Control will reserve the IP.

Thanks very much, Brian! I've assigned a static IP as detailed above. What will happen when the user logs in from two different clients at one time? I.e. his persistent connection is active on both his home PC and his laptop. Will Kerio attempt to assign my chosen static IP to both clients?

I presume that the first connected client will obtain the static IP. Other clients will receive a dynamic IP. You might consider an alternative approach to RDP. For example TeamViewer allows you to remotely manage your desktop without requiring a static IP address or a VPN tunnel.
